Could you make this extension work from the publish page instead of the publish dropdown? Perhaps using some sort of hierarchy/accordion javascript framework?

Downloaded, installed ... working wonderfully!
Thanks Mark!

Only weird thing, with the following weblog structure:
jammo
jammo_misc
jammo_personal
jammo_food
jammo_auto

I previously had many entries posted under weblog ‘jammo’. I had to manually distribute them all to the 4 new weblogs.
Now, weblog ‘jammo’ is no longer accessible. Is that the way it’s suppose to be?
If so, that’s cool - just making sure.

As always, great extension, Mark.

Quick question, anyone else having problems with this working after upgrading to EE v.1.6?

It looks like the changes to the new admin template (the one based off 31three) is using similar css to this extension, and causing it to override this extension.

Any idea of how to get this working again?

Tx

Try version 2.0 at the top of the thread.  It should work with 2.0 now.

Hey Mark, as always, you rock.

I’ve tried updating to v.2.0, but it’s still not working for me.  I’ve tried disabling/re-enabling the extension, clearing my cache, on both Safari and FF for mac. Also, I’m using the new default cp theme (based on 31three’s).

Any ideas?

Yeah,  I actually have quite a few…  I thought maybe it was perhaps “Hidden Weblogs”, but I tried disabling that with no luck.

AHA!  Was just running through my long list of EXTs, and remembered that I recently enabled “Clone Entries”.  I just tried disabling that one, and the Publish tab disappeared altogether!  So, not sure why this is happening, but maybe it has something to do with that?

I can’t seem to recreate this problem ira42.  Is there anyway you could send me a login to your CP?

Version 2.0 should work with EE1.6, but let me know if you find otherwise.

Eek! I just installed it and now all my control panel screens are blanking out except PUBLISH. Got a meeting with client soon—not good.

Any help?

Update: I’m now getting this: “Directory access is forbidden. Directory access is forbidden.”

I’ve gone into the config file and switched off all extensions, so can’t use any others until this one is fixed.

Adam - are you using the MSM expansion?  I can’t imagine why this extension would cause forbidden errors.  If you can get me a login to your CP and FTP access after your meeting when it would be Ok to work out a fix I can take a look.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the quick response. Rather good support for a free extension!

Not using MSM expansion. I’ll PM you access.

Hi Mark,

Did you ever manage to get round to making this work from the Publish page as well as the Publish dropdown as per this suggestion?

Is it possible to make it so that the extension uses dashes to seperate the weblog name spaces instead of an underscore

So instead of

products_fabrics
products_wallpapers

etc

you can use

products-fabrics
products-wallpapers

as weblog names and still have them linked in the weblog menu?

Does NOT work with EE 1.6 20070621.
The only other extension I am using is Extension: Add Site Name (to Control Panel header).

I’ve had to disable my nested weblogs.

THE ERROR:
After upgrading from previous 1.08, the redirect takes me back to root of my control panel, where the screen is blank. View Source reveals nothing - blank as well.
