Hi,

I want to set up a client area of my site with areas accessible only to people with the correct username and password.  I don’t want Client A to know I’m working with Client B so ideally need to give each one a URL specific to them.  I also don’t want Client A to be able to see any of Client B’s files so there needs to be some way of securing access to only those with the right permissions.

Is this possible in EE and if so, can you point me in the direction of some help files so I can work out how to put it all together.

You can hide individual bits of content from members by using conditionals {if member_id == “x”} or {if group_id == “x”}, but you do have the ability to control page access entirely, using Template Access.  You would put each member into a different group and restrict the entire template to only the groups you want to see that page.  If another group happens to try to access that URL, they will instead be served a 404 page, or your site’s index page content if you aren’t using 404’s.
