Custom Field Tooltips/Help

It would be nice to have an additional (optional) field when creating a new custom field that would facilitate help or tips. This way if the field label isn’t descriptive enough, one could provide an example or tip for the user in the publish form.

The tip or help could appear directly under the field label—or be available by clicking a [help] link next to the label?

Ahem, why would two custom fields not work? The one being the tooltip for the other, “real” one? Or am I misunderstanding you?

No, the tooltip is not for the end user but the Control Panel user ... so the tooltip would be displayed on the Publish form with its custom field.

A real-world example would be a custom field designated for an HTML tag of some sort. This is how it would be setup:

Field name: user_html
Field label: HTML Tag
Field description: Example: http://www.domain.com/image.jpg

Does that make more sense?
