I don’t even think I can play, but I’m tossing it out anyway- handy translations included!

A. How is the documentation for ExpressionEngine 1.4 coming?
5.  Reply hazy, try again later.
Translation- ‘Really good if you can read my mind and extract the data straight from my synapsis.  Otherwise?  Not so much.’

B. The current ExpressionEngine 1.4 change log has 75 items listed?
2.  False
Translation- ‘Haa haa haa!!!  I am a CODING GOD!  I crank out 75 new items before breakfast.  It’s WAY more than 75.  Puny mortal scum.’

C. Paul is so exhausted he could not think of a good developer entry this week?
6.  True
Translation- ‘And this post proves it.’

D. Could you please write a Bikini Wax module?
3.  No, I am not going to do that.
Translation- ‘I like hairy women.’

E. When is ExpressionEngine 1.4 going to be released?
4.  There is not yet a date for that.
Translation- ‘When we get there!  Now sit down and be quiet or somebody’s getting a whupp’n!’

F. Rick should hand over the company to Paul?
1.  How dare you suggest such a thing!
Translation- ‘Coding is way more fun than doing taxes.’

SNERK- but my money’s on Mr. Wilson!  Though it looks like eviluncledave and I share a brain wink

A. How is the documentation for ExpressionEngine 1.4 coming?

What’s funny is that Paul wants everyone to feel sorry for him, as if his meager writing chores will be all that hard.  The truth of the matter is that over the past two weeks I’ve re-written huge portions of the docs and added lots of new sections, I’ve edited every single one of the 200 pages and pretty much reorganized the whole thing from top to bottom, including a design overhaul.  I even integrated the developer and plugin docs into the main user guide.  And now it’s Paul’s turn to document his new features and he’s acting like it’s a monumental feat.  Don’t let him fool you, ladies and gentlemen, it’s all a charade!  A clever ploy to get pity from you, and dates with geeky single women.  But just like the animals at the zoo, don’t feed him or he will expect more.  Much, much more.

Hm… he’s also expecting to go on vacation next month…. and he’s giving away software licenses.  I think it’s time to update Paul’s employee file…

<Sexy British Accent>

Notice how the Alpha Male begins to feel threatened by the entrance of the younger, more virile male whose skills rival his own.  The Alpha beats his chest and makes quite a show, hoping to show his dominance to the members of the group.  Ah, but notice the young male has written a conditional parser while also expanding the power of the group with Extensions.  The Alpha panics and creates a show with Relational Abilities.  The members of the group are confused.  Unsure of what to make it of this new development.  The females are congregating towards the new male, impressed by his manliness and keen coding skills.  The older males notice the younger male has improved the Admin and Template interface while also streamlining code.  They are duly impressed.  The Alpha is unsure what to do but then suddenly pulls out his Plasma TV.  The younger male admits defeat…until next time after his trip to Best Buy…
