Comment Leaders Plugin: Not Updating

I installed the Comment Leaders plugin on my site a couple days ago, and it seemed to be working fine. It counted my test comments as I was developing the site, and it counted the new totals after I imported my previous site’s info from PMachine. However, I noticed today that it no longer updates as new comments are posted - it’s now a static list of members and their comment totals as of the time I brought my new site live yesterday afternoon.

Any idea what the problem might be, and how to fix it?

I don’t think that you do with pM imports, however you may need to associate imported comments with their members thing. =)

I’m also having this problem.  My client is running 1.4.2 build 20060620 and his comment leaders appear to be static. They updated when I imported his MT entries into EE, but since then, they’ve never updated at all.

I don’t know what the “associate imported comments with their members thing” is (the link is restricted access) and these entries weren’t imported from pMachine, but Movable Type.

Thoughts? smile  Thank you!!

See EE Wiki: Associating Members with Comments after Import and I highly suggest not relying on information from 2004. =)

Moving this to the plugins forum.

Well, of course, which is why I commented on this thread, hoping there would be new information.

Thanks for the link. smile

If you see anything linking to my site that is from prior than about 2 months ago, then try the wiki.  Just FYI, I archived off 3000 posts and they’re no longer accessible. =)

I finally got around to doing this and it doesn’t appear to be working as indicated.

It does assign the member ID to the name, but it doesn’t retally the comments. In fact, it doesn’t appear to recount the comment leaders at all.  Now I’ve got screennames that are different, but have the same member ID (yes, they’re the same person, I’m just trying to merge the screen names, member IDs and their comment counts) and different comment counts, so they’re listed twice.

Yes, I cleared my cache, yes, I backed up my database and yes I did the recount statistics for the site stats, members and entries several times.  The client is using EE 1.5.2 20061128 and recently ported from MT to EE, which is why we’re having this challenge.

Am I missing something here?  Thanks!
