Whoo Hoo!! The little browser that could.

Thanks for the link. I actually paid for it a few years ago, but after a hard drive crash never went back to get load it.

Used to be my favorite browser before I found FireFox.

I have never used Opera before but I will give it a try today =)

Letting out the products which should have been free from the first place is a dirty trick for marketing but it works on me every time wink

I love Opera.

Well now playing with Opera for some hours I have to ask you “why”?
Is it really as fast as they claim?
It seems that the styles are the last things rendering and this makes browsing boring for me.

One of the main reasons to use Opera is when testing logged in versus logged out behavior or in using a test user.

I use IE for that reason, and also Opera.

Code for FireFox, test with IE. smile

I use all three Mac browsers regularly, depending on what I’m doing. When I’m developing a website I use Firefox. Like Sue said, code for Firefox, test in everything else. Firefox has the best webdev tools/plugins etc… and its rendering engine is tops. If I’m browsing the forums or need to do online writing then I use Safari (which is still my default browser), because its built-in Spell checker rocks and I really like that I can output an entire page to pdf format for review or design check.

If I’m doing research on web analysis or some comparative review where I know I’m going to need 30-50 tabs open, then Opera out does all the other browsers easily. I find that Firefox slows down after 10-15 tabs, Safari at about 20, but Opera keeps chugging away with 50 tabs with little slowdown. At least, that’s been my experience.
