Downloading Blacklist

I have been getting lots of spam comments. So when I decided to download the Blacklist, this is what it said…

Error: new blacklist was irretrievable.
Invalid License Number

I don’t understand. I paid for EE 1.2 & upgraded to 1.3. What could be the problem?

Look at this Knowledge-Blog entry for how to find your license number.  Make sure that’s the one you have set under Admin > General Configuration.

I made a new text dument, uploaded it to my public_html folder. changed the name to .htaccess, Then changed the permissions to 666. When I put the path in the box & submitted it. This is what it said…
The .htaccess file was written successfully.

Then when I tried to download the Blacklist, this is what it said…
Error: new blacklist was irretrievable.
Invalid License Number

Yes…my license # is in the Admin/General config. folder. Now I’m confused!

Did you do as I said and go check to make sure that the License Number that you have entered into your Control Panel is the correct one?

I had the wrong license # in there.It was from EE 1.2.1 I’m going to try it with the new#
