How can I use MarsEdit to upload images using the new MetaWeblog interface in 1.3?  Has anyone done this?

In MarsEdit -> Window -> Images and Files, upload away.

I left the path blank.

It uploads to the default file upload location for the chosen weblog.  For me that was /images/uploads.  Worked brilliantly.

LJ,

Thanks for the quick reply.  I hadn’t tried an empty path, but even after that I still get an error:

ethod name: metaWeblog.newMediaObject
Status code: 200
Succeeded: NO
—Fault Error—
Fault code: 802
Fault string: Unable to Upload File
Response text:

Yes, I can.  Hate to say this, but I’ve never used the CP to upload an image before…

However, something’s seriously garfed - the image doesn’t show up in the posting and I’m running into access issues for a totally unrelated site - I may have some weird .htaccess issue.

Will report back after I investigate further…

OK, my upload directory setting in the control panel was incorrect.  The URL pointed to a site I had password-protected, that’s why my strange htaccess issue.  The server path was correct.  So the file was going to the right directory but strange things happened when anything tried to access the image since the img tag was pointing to the wrong url.

So I corrected the upload directory and can do so just fine from the publish menu, but I still can’t get either MarsEdit or Ecto to upload an image.

Any more thoughts?
