On a lighter, non-tech note: There was a photographer at the EllisLab evening gathering last Saturday. She appeared to be documenting the event, and my assumption was that EllisLab had hired her to do so. If so, will those photos be posted?

I’ll also take this opportunity to thank everyone at EllisLab for a great weekend of ExpressionEngine goodness at SXSW. I had a blast, learned a lot, and finally got to meet and talk to everyone. It was a very positive event both for EE users and those considering it.

Hello everyone, it was great to meet Rick, Derek, Lisa, Leslie, and Kurt. Thank you very much for your demonstration, I know it was great to hear many things that are to come on version 2.0.

I took several photos of the screenshots you guys showed us, but I have a request, probably not so much would be involved in it. I like EE tutorial templates and Code Igniters, Your presentation Derek was great, would it be too much for you to just do a couple screen shots or a 60 second quick demo of what there is to come, just to have another moment of awe

Also, I was proposing a ‘Better Practices’ Forum or section in the forums as I know we all participate with questions and answers, but some times bringing some of the better practices models, would be of great benefit to the EE community:

1. How to do sudo subversion
2. What to do to have a test/development installation and an active installation
3. What to use or how-to handle over 10,000 members? SSO (Single Sign-On, OpenID)
4. Quick server responses.

where are the video feeds of SXSW

I would like to watch the developers speak about EE 2.0 and how they made it. However, I can’t find any video feeds from the conference. This is Kinda odd seeing that you make software that has video publishing capabilities and your not using not them

please I need to watch something and I want to watch a 30 minuet conference about EE 2.0 any links to videos please share them thanks…

Sites and blogs coverage of SXSW?

I am wondering what sites I should keep at the top of my bookmarks list during and right after SXSW 2008 for coverage of the conference?
Living in Norway makes a trip over there a bit longer and more expensive than I am willing to right now, so the Internet will have to do.

The Free FIlm Day Pass

I read some where that getting the free day pass for the Trade show would help get us in to EE preview. How does that work? I noticed the pass is only good for sunday-tuesday.

Also I am sure this has been mentioned before.

Questions for EllisLab (Open Panel non-attendees)

Hi there,

Will it be possible to have a handful of questions for those not attending SXSW? Perhaps in a format where a few are read out and answered (I’m sure it will be recorded or blogged so we can get the answers).

If it’s a yes then my questions would be -

- With the expansion of ExpressionEngine (specifically) are you considering expanding your support network to other countries or to have round the clock support?

- When are you producing some more decent video docs?

- Lion Tamer or PHP Developer?

SXSW new bands

Hi everyone,
We have been invited to play SXSW this year which is amazing. I really want to make sure I get all i can out of it which means watching as many bands as poss and checking out the film festival. What can I expect? can anyone give me any tips as I am a SXSW virgin.

Where Will EllisLab Be?

Maybe a dumb question, but how do we find you guys? I’ve never been to the convention center in Austin.

Saw EllisLab mentioned in a newsletter I got Monday, seemingly tied into SXSW Clicks in the Adobe Day Stage Cafe. Whatever that is. Is that where your presentation will be?

(Admittedly, I haven’t yet scrounged around the SXSW site for maps, etc.)
