NoodleMac - a site for Mac users

Just launched NoodleMac.

It uses exact same XHTML and EE code as previous launch of Kate’s PixoBebo but has different content. Styling differences are all wrapped up in CSS. It took longer to do the graphics than to do the code.

I’m interested in doing a site with video snippets of ‘how to’ but haven’t found a good Javascript to manage embedded QuickTime movies so the code validates XHTML.

Any suggestions?

Denmarks ugliest music festival - powered by EE

Hey forum!
I just finished my first client site made with ExpressionEngine!

Danmarks Grimmeste Festival (in english Denmarks ugliest music festival) is a Danish indy rock festival and the expression of the design is based on images and emotions from last years ugly festival!

Visit the site at DanmarksGrimmesteFestival.dk.

Except for EE the site use BluePrint and SimpleView

I am not satisfied with the content layout, but the client love it… (you know the story).

Hope you all like it!

Letters Site

This site is deliberately simple. I’d almost go so far as to call it “done,” but I know this is never actually possible.

http://www.jackassletters.com/

I am looking for a better name, will eventually get better logos going, and may add a mailing list at some point, but other than that I think I am done (no, really).

Let me know what you think, and if you have a better name, PM it to me. postalmoneky is already taken (sadly).

This is my second of the 4 sites I run that I have redesigned since purchasing MSM.

Erickson Barnett launched www.merrittgrp.com last night. (Still dealing with DNS issues on the non-www version, so make sure to include www if you hand-type it in.)

Thanks, once again, to the EllisLabs team for a great platform on which to build sites. We could have done it without you, but we wouldn’t have wanted to. ;)

Tonight I have launched a redesigned, new EE, site for a garden designer who is showing at Chelsea Flower show this year.

Nothing tricksy about this one - a few custom fields so he can update and of the project images or add new projects himself. I do notate the custom fields so that the client understands what each one does. Also I change the names in the formatting buttons to plain English to help as well - so instead of “<a>” on a button I have “Link” - much easier.

Site is: Capability Chris - http://www.chrisodonoghue.co.uk

Our first 3 Expression Engine sites

We are just wrapping up on our first three Expression Engine sites. Here is a break down

Bubby’s Pie Co.
Bubby’s Pie Co. is a American Cookery located in Tribeca and DUMBO Brooklyn. Long known for it’s brunch and celebrity sitings. The homepage allows them to publish News and Events along with recipes etc… We created a little custom integration with Flickr for their photo album and used Simple Commerce to allow them to sell their pies online. In addition, specials can be posted daily in the menus section plus their is a guest feed back form.

MS Attorney General Site
The most interesting thing I think we did with this site was what you can’t see. Since there is endless stream of content being published to the site and the staff at the AGO’s office needs to be able to add new content including new static pages we made it possible for them to create static pages within the site just by publishing to a weblog and by selecting the correct category the pages style according to the section they belong to. We have just a few template groups and templates that control everything here.

Parenting On Track
We are just finishing up this site. You may run into some tests posts etc. . . just to warn you. Making Simple Commerce work in this case required an extensive amount of custom Paypal/EE work.

We have really loved developing with EE for it’s flexibility and ease. And when you need to go outside the box integrating custom solutions are always possible.

My second EE site launch.

This is a migration from the open source CMS system Etomite which was used for the past 3 years. This is also my first site at Engine Hosting.

Just lauched Forum North about an hour ago,

just need to wrap hcal around events but pretty much all done,

7 weblogs, 45 custom fields, 0 additional modules, 1 extension (Mark Huot file), 1 plugin (Mark Hout ‘Strip <p>’ for typography validation)

a pleasure to build with EE…

Hey guys,

Just a quick note to say that we have launched the website for Bits & Pixels; our Newcastle Web design and development group meetup.

Its a fairly simple EE site designed and developed by one of our interns but it serves our purposes. Standard EE features like blogging and membership have been implemented as well as Flickr and Upcoming integration.

So if you’re in Newcastle or the Central Coast drop by and pay us a visit for our next meeting.

Cheers Leevi
