flv player and detection

I can’t seem to find an example of how to detect flash with the flvplayer pluggin. Can anyone help me out with an example? I have the flvplayer working fine right now with the following code on my page, but just don’t know how to incorporate the detection.

This is on the page:

{exp:flvplugin  playerpath="/players/player.swf" playernumber="1" file="/video/myvid.mp4" image="/video/myvid.jpg" width="280" height="175" showdigits="true" }

I’m loading the swfobject.js file in my page head as described.

value of {count} and {total_results}

Is there a way that I can bring the value of {count} and {total_results} into a plugin?

I’ve been reading all over the $TMPL class and can’t find it.

Can anyone help to shed some light?

What is minimal plugin ... I am asking because when I tried to do empty plugin that doesn’t do nothing, I got error. Just wanted to get skeleton of it to be sure I had it right ...

so, for example can I just do this?

and should I get an error if I do that? Or shouldn’t?

I am trying something so I am interested if somebody knows answer. I am developing plugin that is currently calling hello_world because it is just a test.

So, problem is here. Can I do this in template?

{exp:hello_world:search tekst={maintext}}

so to have plugin that checks text of weblog that is currently displaying…

and to get that text and find some specific string in it ... for example “‘’”

any idea? can it be done this way? is there a better way? Since, data are displayed already, it seems stupid to do SQL query based on data to get that text from database, since it is already done ....

P.S.: anyone have any simple plugin that works? I need the most basic one, like hello world.

TinyMCE toolbar not appearing

I configured LG TinyMCE and it was working great ... but sometime in the past days, the actual toolbar stopped showing up in Firefox and Safari.

Only recent addition was Tome, and I’ll do another back up and remove the package.

I didn’t find any other threads on this ... Any ideas?

Hello,

I’m trying to catch the {birthday} field when it turns up empty - either because it’s not set, or because the user is not logged in.
I assumed it would just return a blank/no/null value, but it doesn’t seem to be working.

$rawdob = $TMPL->fetch_param('dob');
        if ($rawdob == '')
        {
        $rawdob = date("m d, Y", time());
        }

The ‘dob’ parameter should be replaced by whatever value {birthday} returns. When it does return a value - user is logged in and has set their birthday - it works great. When the birthday information is missing though, I can’t seem to be able to override it with that default value (today’s date.) When I try to return the value of $rawdob directly (when I log in as a user without a birthday set) it gives me a parse error within core.functions.php.

What is wrong with this code?

Weird Plugin problem…!!

Hi there,

Okay first off here is the disclaimer. I would rather not show my plugin code at the moment as it really is a work in progress but was on the other hand just wondering if anyone has ever come across the same kind of problem that I am having.

I have a plugin which basically gets some values from the database and then swaps out some variables in the template for those values.

All of this works fine and the whole plugin (so I thought) was working absolutely dreamy.

That is until I tried something like this :


<p>{my_variable_one} - {my_variable_two}</p>

If I do that it comes up with an error saying that one of the variables isn’t set but if I do this :

<p>{my_variable_one}<br />
{my_variable_two}</p>

Everything gets spat out as it should do. Only when I place the variables on the same line in the template does it all go wonky!

All very weird. Was just wondering if anyone had come across that before in their plugin making travels?

Also if I have {my_variable_one} as one of my variables I should in theory be able to place that multiple times into a template and have it swapped out with the same value for each loop iteration shouldn’t I? I was just wondering if that had anything to do with it maybe?

Thanks for any help on this one and sorry that this is exceptionally vague at this point. I will totally understand if no-one can help on this one due to my not showing the code for the plugin but the client would rather I not show anything at this stage.

repeet + exp:query

Hi All…

Should I be able to use exp:query inside of exp:repeet:calendar? I’m working on adding repeet to an existing calendar and it seems that as soon as I wrap the calendar in the exp:repeet:calendar code the data from exp:query is no longer returned.

Thanks in advance. I’m sure I have my dunce cap on today.

Twitter Timeline issue

I’ve looked at this code so many times I feel like my eyes are bleeding. I’m interested in grabbing the last 4 entries from my twitter feed, so I have loaded Twitter Timeline. Works great when using a “public” user type but nothing is displaying on my blog when using a usertype of “user”.

Find and Replace Plugin - multiples AND regex?

Hi All,

I’m trying to use the find and replace plugin with both regex and multiple on:

It is finding each element OK, but the replace doesn’t seem to work. The bar is being displayed instead of being used as a separator.

Instead of the result I expect:
