Redirect not working

Hello,

I have a problem I’ve never encountered before. In one of my modules, I have an action that processes a form and then redirects to a different page.

At the end of this function, I have the following:


$FNS->redirect($FNS->create_url('test/results'));

As soon as my module hits this page, activity seems to halt - the browser displays ‘Loading..’ and doesn’t continue. I sit there and wait for a 408 HTTP Request Timeout.

Any ideas?

Specifiying Images/CSS/JS in extensions/modules

Hey guys,

I was testing some of my extension code and ran into a problem. How do you reference images for a module/extension in the CP?

So far I have tried:

'" . $PREFS->ini('site_url') . $PREFS->ini('system_folder') . "/extensions/lg_twitter_ext/bg.png' 

Fails when you browse to a secondary msm site


'/" . $PREFS->ini('system_folder') . "/extensions/lg_twitter_ext/bg.png'

Fails when the user has EE installed in a sub folder

The only reliable way seems to be throwing all the files in a new folder in the themes directory as the user has to type this in manually.

I have seen Solspace call another CP page that returns the JS/CSS but this seems like a bit of overkill.

Any ideas?

Removing Extra Backslash from Form Submit Button…PLEASE HELP!

I have a custom module that is essentially a form that takes data from logged in clients and submits it to the site’s database. Since I’ve migrated from one host to another though clients have been unable to use the form. They can enter the data but when the press submit it redirects to the wrong page and the data is not entered in the database.

By using firebug for firefox (which allows you to temporarily change code on the fly for a live site), I was able to figure out that the problem is due to an additional backslash being added to the submit url. Sounds simple enough but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the additional backslash. For example, when I look at the source via firebug, I see this as the submit action:

If I leave it as is, the form does not submit the data and it redirects the user to the main index page. If I use firebug and change the submit action to


<form action="http://mysite.com/mytraining/submit/wyN7FfFJWa/" method="post">

with only 1 backslash it works perfectly.

The problem is I can’t figure out how to permanently remove the second backslash. In the pertinent template the relevant code says this:

I’ve attached the actual module since posting the relevant code exceeded the post length restrictions.

This seems like such a minor problem and I’ve looked around for hours now but haven’t been able to find where that second backslash is coming from as it doesn’t appear anywhere else on the site. If any one can take a look I would REALLY appreciate it.

EE Tag Substitution

I wasn’t sure of the exact terminology used, so please feel free to rename the title of this post to something more meaningful.

I’ve created a module for the Sphinx full-text search engine. I’m now working on the plugin-side of things - displaying the search results.

I’ve defined a function called ‘search_results’ which right now just returns an array of rows from a DB query. What I want to do is have variables/EE tags in my template and substitute those placeholders for each record in the array.

For example… I want my template to look like the following:

{exp:sphinx:search_results}
{title} <!—I’m not sure how to do the substitution in the background, recursively—>
{/exp:sphinx:search_results}

If I wasn’t dealing with multiple records, I think I could just use preg_replace() - but since there I’m dealing with an array I’m confused and not sure how to go about it.

"Trying to get property of non-object" in PHP include

My brain hurts. I’ve been battling this for over a day now and am no closer to a solution. I know it’s not policy to review/debug third-party scripts, but I could use some illumination as it appears to be EE’s handling of the include in question that is problematic.

The code I’m using is the Vogoo LIB, available here. It comprises a core include, plus a couple of supplementar ones depending on the required functionality.

The template code is:

I’ve seen some talk on the boards here about variables and scope setting, but frankly am unsure where to start. I’ve confirmed this is working properly just in native PHP docs on the server, so it is something to do with how EE is resolving…. something.

Pages module borked after upgrade to 1.6.4

So we managed to bork the install of the pages module after a upgrade to 1.6.4 from a much older version running the Mark Huot pages module. We forgot to run the upgrade to migrate to Tome but were quite happy to ditch the old pages module and use the EE Pages module instead. We modded all our page templates and edited the existing posts via the edit tab and all seemed good.

However when we try to navigate to the edit form via the ‘Pages’ module the edit form displays a blank page, nothing, nada, zip…

If you add the parameter ‘weblog_id=1’ to the querystring it springs into life… I’m sure it’s something fairly basic that has got lost in translation but I have no idea where to start… I’m guessing some or other incomplete filed int the DB?

Sorry for the cross post BTW, I originally posted this elsewhere in the forum in response to another thread but felt this was a better place for it.

It works as is right now, but I’d like to sort everything by url_title if possible and keep the groupings correct just as you see it now. Each URL is correctly grouped under the linklist_title but they are not in alphabetical order. When I user orderby=“url_title”, it orders them by title, but it does not keep the grouping correct. So essentially it takes every url_title from each link list and alphabetizes them, messing up the groupings and the linklist_titles.

Any ideas?

Howdy,

I’m working on developing a Google Maps plug-in, which is working quite well. What I currently need, though, is some way to know how many times my module has been called on the same page. I’ve searched this site all through, and haven’t found a thing.

The general gist is this:

{exp:mapper id="testMap1"}

{exp:mapper id="testMap1"}

{exp:mapper id="testMap2"} 

I want to know, when the mapper module is called, how many times it’s been previously run.

Perhaps a global of some kind? I tried declaring one, but it didn’t seem to persist.
