Bio

Erwin van Lun is ‘Marketer On A Mission’: he wants to help marketers to add more value to the lives of consumers. He wrote the book ‘Van Massamerk naar Mensmerk’ (From Mass brand to Personal brand), in which he describes how media will change over the coming ten years, how brands will adapt and what today’s professionals can do to anticipate the changes. The book was nominated for the Marketing Literature Award in the Netherlands in 2005. Starting from his vision Erwin monitors trends in society, in media, and in branding. He writes for the Dutch marketing blogs marketingfacts.nl and molblog.nl, and for his personal weblog http://www.erwinvanlun.com. In addition, he acts as a passionate speaker at seminars and conferences and facilitates workshops focusing at changes in the world, in marketing and in branding.

After graduating as Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) from the Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands) in 1993, Erwin worked for IT company CMG for ten years. First as marketing and IT consultant, later as e-marketing manager at the international headquarters. After that, he studied Brand Management at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and received his second Master’s degree (Master of Brand Management). For his thesis on changes in media and branding he interviewed 25 experts in the field. These interviews led to the writing of his book. Since the publication of the book in 2005 Erwin van Lun has been self-employed and is passionately dedicated to fulfilling his mission.

And on top, Erwin is Expresssion Engine Fan!
