Can you please be more specific?  This is not enough information for us to work on.  Please include:

1.)  What you were doing, eg: advanced search, simple search.
2.)  What happened
3.)  If what happened is not what you expect to happen, please let us know what you expected.
4.)  Show salient points from your template that can help us in troubleshooting.

Lastly, do you have a link to a forum thread where tech support staff assisted in troubleshooting.

and both variables {channel} and {channel_short_name} give the same result. The short name of the channel.
It is called from the simple search.

i’m not replicating.  What do you have set for:

* Full Channel Name
* Channel Name

at:  CP Home -> Administration -> Channel Management -> Channel Preferences - <your channel name>

and what results are you getting?

Full channel name: Infos
channel name: pages

I get “pages” with both terms
