Details
If you wait too long (not sure of exact length) and type a reply and click submit, page reloads and loose typed response. Happens often on the EE forums. Using latest version of Safari.

... As in open a quick reply or full reply and go get some lunch and come back sort of length. |

Blair, this is known behavior when the Secure Forms feature is used to combat against cross-site request forgery. The time to live for the form is two hours. It might be shorter if your ISP frequently rotates your IP address as well. |

And there is no way for notify when this happens? No auto-save feature? Does this happen in the EE backend too? Loosing something I typed I would defiantly translate as a bug, as anyone not as web savvy to know about ‘cross-site request forgery.’ Just a thought. |

No, currently the session just expires, but most browsers will retain what you type by using the back button. The control panel in 2.x does have an auto-save for the publish page, but it is not a feature of the front end or of 1.x. |
