SXSW Giveaway: Kindle 2, Shuffles, EE Treats, and More!

We’ve got some prizes for those of you feasting with us at the Moonshine Grill this Saturday night. First up, we’ll be giving away the Amazon Kindle 2.

You can read what Lisa (our Director of Community Services) has to say about the Kindle 2 as part of Gear Live’s Kindle 2 review. I’ve got it sitting next to my desk and its all I can do keep it in its box.

Speaking of Gear Live, Andru (owner) is providing a Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini External HD for us to give away.

Our beloved Nevin (CTO, EngineHosting) is giving away 10 iPod Red Shuffles (2G).

Ryan Irelan just released the ExpressionEngine Techniques screen cast series. The first two of the (tentatively planned) 14 are available right now from Pragprog.com. Ryan is giving away the entire series 2 set! That’s over 7 hours of EE learning material going to someone Saturday night.

Of course, we can’t talk about ExpressionEngine training without mentioning Train-ee‘s Mike Boyink. Mike is providing “one of everything” from Train-ee’s ExpressionEngine tutorials for us to give a lucky winner.

Steven and the team at Hambo Development are sad that they can’t make it in person to SXSW but they are happy to provide us with the PDF version of Sitepoint’s Simply SQL book and a one year subscription to a Dropbox Pro account as prizes for Saturday night.

Wayde and Leevi from Newism can’t make it either but wanted to join in. They are providing a copy of LG Better Meta Commercial, LG Polls, and the powerful NSM Publish Plus ExpressionEngine Add-ons to offer up this weekend.

And finally, Mitchell and the team at Solspace are providing the Ultimate Solspace Software bundle. That’s one copy of every Solspace EE add-on going to a someone this Saturday night. Also, don’t forget about the Solspace Nightcap, a fine way to wind down after a long day of partying.

A big thank you to everyone sponsoring a prize! We decided to do this at the last minute and everyone pitched in to make it happen.

Now, we know most of the people who read this won’t be attending. Let me just say that there will be other opportunities to get some great free stuff later this year. You can help make future giveaways even better by blogging, tweeting, and broadcasting about the people who are giving things away. This encourages them (and us) to do this again. They get eyeballs, you get free stuff. Its a fair trade.
