Looking for What Is
We try to train users to rely on the ExpressionEngine User Guide, so they can see what’s available to them, how to use tags and variables, and so on. We strongly feel that third parties have a responsibility to document their own add-ons with the same goals for their users, and with no less importance placed on the quality of documentation.
To that end, we are now openly offering the ExpressionEngine User Guide markup and CSS for use by the community to document their own add-ons. We hope that by doing this we will not only encourage third party developers to write good documentation for their add-ons, but also to help users by providing a consistent and familiar look, feel, and syntax to documentation that they encounter for ExpressionEngine add-ons. This will allow users to look for what is and not what they think should be.
