ExpressionEngine 2.1 Released!
We are very excited to announce the release of ExpressionEngine 2.1. This version marks the end of the public beta period. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the literally thousands of people who participated in the public beta. Your contribution was invaluable in helping improve and finalize the application. Thank you!
Important! If you are using Third Party Add-ons, make sure they are compatible with ExpressionEngine 2.1 before you update, otherwise your site may break.
All of EllisLab would also like to thank Jesse, Simon, Jason, and Ryan for their exceptional work on the new ExpressionEngine.com design. We’ve streamlined the site, consolidated resources, and made a number of updates just about everywhere. If you find rough edges… actually, when you find rough edges just let us know in the discussion thread for this post.
As a reminder, we’ve Restructured the Forums and given notice that ExpressionEngine 1.x is no longer available for purchase. Both these changes are now live and in effect.
We’ve also made an important change to Technical Support that everyone needs to be aware of. Starting today, in order to receive Technical Support, you must have Download Access to at least one ExpressionEngine license on your account or have a Support Credit assigned to your account. You can find more information in our Support Policy. Practically speaking this means if you make a single new license purchase or an upgrade purchase once a year, you’ll continue to have Tech Support access for all your licenses.
The tools that we use to manage this are brand new and there might be some hiccups. If you experience issues posting to support, please .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and we’ll look into it right away. Be sure to include your ExpressionEngine.com user name in your email.
And finally, we are proud to introduce our 30-day, 100% Money Back Guarantee! This way you can purchase ExpressionEngine to try in your own environment and simply return it within 30 days for a full refund if it doesn’t work out (Refund Policy).
