Apply for Phase Two of the ExpressionEngine 2.0 Beta, Take a Survey, and Win an EE Mug
We are go for Phase Two of the ExpressionEngine 2.0 Beta. There is a good chance that this will be the final beta round prior to public release. That’s not a promise, but that’s certainly our goal. Should that change, we’ll update you on the blog as usual.
If you want to help shape EE 2.0 prior to release, this may be your last opportunity. With that in mind, please read carefully and good luck!
The purpose of Phase Two of the ExpressionEngine 2.0 Beta is to get the EE 2.0 beta into the hands of a wide audience. That means anyone can apply. This includes the most experienced EE gurus, people who have never used EE before, and just about everyone else. You don’t need to be a web pro or have any experience using a blog or CMS tool. All you have to be is interested in providing useful feedback to the EE development team.
Applying for Phase Two of the ExpressionEngine 2.0 Beta requires three things.
First, you must be registered at ExpressionEngine.com.
Second, please take the How I Use ExpressionEngine Survey. Your feedback will help shape a lot of things regarding EE 2.0 including license options, Download Accounts, and Technical Support. Let your voice be heard!
When you have completed the survey you’ll see a secret passphrase. Hang onto this.
Third, please fill out the ExpressionEngine 2.0 Phase Two Beta application (make sure you’re logged into ExpressionEngine.com). You’ll need the aforementioned secret passphrase to complete it. If you share the secret passphrase publicly or privately you will be rejected from the beta. Please play nice, thanks!
Remember, applying for the beta does not guarantee you’ll get in. We have about 300 spots available and they will be filled solely at the discretion of the EE Dev team.
Existing beta participants: you do not need to reapply, you will automatically be included in Phase Two.
Both the How I Use ExpressionEngine Survey and the ExpressionEngine 2.0 Phase Two Beta application will be open until October 2nd, 3pm (PT). Invitations will start going out shortly thereafter (as in several days after).
And last, but not least, if you take the How I Use ExpressionEngine Survey you’ll have the opportunity to win one of the last two ExpressionEngine Coffee Mugs.
To enter the EE Mug drawing, just make sure to enter a valid email address when asked. You also need to live in a place that the US Postal Service, FedEX, or UPS ship to. Finally, if you already have an EE Mug, you’re not eligible to win this one. We’ll announce the winner on our next EE update (October 6th).
