Any chance of getting the ‘automatic update’ option happening soon? I’ve been waiting patiently!
It would be radical to have a number automatically placed into the field when an entry is submitted. Perhaps even depending on sort order; i.e. if it’s sorted asc, the number is 001 and the rest of the list gets updated accordingly. If it’s sorted desc, then it simply gets put at the back of the sort order.
Feature request: I’d love to be able to select one (or more) statuses per weblog, as a filter (eg. only reeorder entries with status ‘menu’). This could keep out clutter for clients.
Hi - thanks for this module - excellent and handy to use. My query is… is it possible / has anyone come up with a way of developing a next / previous navigation for the entry pages which corresponds to the REEOrder order?
- Ability to filter out weblogs that haven’t been assigned a custom order field
- Ability to filter out status (pulls in status group assigned to this weblog then filter via multi checkboxes)
- MSM Compatibility
I have updated the module to version 1.2 which adds the following:
- Matt and Brandon’s drag-n-drop sorting (awesome!)
- the MSM fix mentioned by “agun” (on page 4)
- the ability to only show (and sort) certain statuses (as requested by Low)
- the ability to filter out weblogs that haven’t been assigned a custom order field (as requested by Hambo)
Version 1.2 requires the “jQuery for the Control Panel” extension to be installed and activated!
I’ve never tried this either, but definitely will be trying it very soon as I need custom ordering on a prooject I am finishing off. Tried Selected Items module previously and that seemed to do the trick, but no harm in trying different methods.
If it is a standard module that appears in the Modules area, then yes, it can be given its own tab in the CP. I have tabs for the Gallery module and Forum module in its own tab, for example. To do this, log into your CP, go to Modules, then the ReeOrder module. Once the ReeOrder module is on-screen, locate the New Tab link at the top right of your CP and click it. This brings up the Tab Manager. Give your Tab a name, or just click “Add a new Tab” and the ReeOrder module should now have its own tab in the CP navigation menu.
