2) Fixed JPG vs jpg issue
3) Fixed issue with options appearing in other custom fields (extra closing div in code)

Let me know if you run into an y more problems.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you get a 403 error as I did this morning..

Add a .htaccess file with these 2 lines -

SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

to /extenstions/fieldtypes/ff_matrix_bulk/scripts/

Hi

I installed everything as said here, and triple checked the custom file field properties. However, when I choose a bunch of pictures, they all start uploading, new rows get created, but every row says “choose image”.

Any ideas?

Can you send some details? Screenshots, what versions are you using of eveything? Fieldframe, unieditor, ngen, EE, jquery?

Oops… I forgot to change jQuery to 1.4.2… Everything works fine! Great plugin by the way!

Hey Bryan

For the most part this is working great for me. However, some CP users are having issues where the image gets uploaded, but for some reason it isn’t added to FF Matrix and just shows a browse button instead of the image’s thumbnail.

Unfortunately I’m not able to reproduce the error but I can see that it’s been happening. There doesn’t appear to be any clear pattern to when this happens - do you have any ideas?

UPDATE: Just wondering whether the number of images already in the upload directory could be messing with things (I have 2300 items in there!). This is certainly slowing things down because nGen File Field is showing all the existing files (my Bulk Upload doesn’t work if this is disabled).

Any thoughts? Could this be an nGen File Field problem rather than the Bulk Upload script?

Cheers

Jim

I have heard of some users on here having issues when the nGen file field dropdown has gotten extremely long. It may be taking too long to process the nGen select list and therefore not ready when the jQuery command fires.

I would definitely recommend you switch to the unieditor with it’s much more advanced upload tool that will actually autogenerate subfolders so you won’t get a folder with so many items in it. It can be spread amongst a folder for every day or any number of variables.

I will look into making my s option is disabled for nGen and we can see if that helps.

Hello guys,
I just wondering what I’m doing wrong, but after many tries I can;t get FF Matrix 1.4.2 working properly.
I have simple case with n-gen file f. and second column from FF for caption. (I’ve tried and without file filed - same result)
Every time when I use the FF template tags - they just display nothing but the {my_col_name} inside.
I had installed Field frame on EE 1.68.
I’ve Enabled the field types and extensions everywhere and also the jQuery for the CP.
I will really thankful is someone helps..

p.s. When I try single tag - for example {meta} (name of the FF field) inside weblog entries tag pair, I’m getting :
Meta Keywords   Meta Description
{meta_keywords}  {meta_description} - col label and given name

Vladyn,

Sounds like your issues are with the FF Matrix and not the bulk uploading script which this post is about. You may want to check http://pixelandtonic.com/matrix here for some support on it.

Attempting to get this great add-on installed and working on my site today.

But it is not working, I have version 0.5.1, EE 1.6.8, nGen 1.0.1, FF 1.4, matrix 1.3.5.

If I would say I think some jquery maybe the uploasdify is not loading. I do not see this js being loaded at all within the publish page.

But this is what happens, I browse for the bulk upload, I cannot make multiple selections, I can only select a single item. Then once selected nothing happens, I can see the path to the file in the box right below the “bulk file upload:” type for the field. If I do a save the file path in the bulk field is now blank and no images were added to my matrix with nGen.

Thanks for any help.

You shouldn’t see a standard browse button, it should look like and image, that’s how you can tell if uploadify loaded successfully. Use firebug and see what kind of error is popping up.

Thanks, I set up a clean install and things are working on that server, except for watermarks.

But on my live site I do not get the image for the browse. And I’m missing something, will compare.

But everything works fine until I add a watermark using the MX UniEditor. Jpg or png both have the same response, no matter the setting, I get like 5% image quality see below attachment.

UniEditor Works correctly by its self and within FF matrix. The Bulk is sent to the FF matrix with very bad quality.

I’ve never tried the watermark feature so my code may be messing that request up. Does the image quality look better when not doing a watermark?

tracked it down to the jQuery Quick Save (v.2.0.3) extension.

Disable it and yours worked.

This relates to the incorrect button and no uploads, not the image re-size and watermark issue.

Thanks, I’m in the middle of some projects but hopefully soon I can take a look at the watermark issues.
