The free External SAEF module lets you use a form to insert a row into any database table—whether into ExpressionEngine’s own or into any database to which you have administrator access.

Warning: If you are using this module to insert data into a database other than the EE installation’s own, do not make the form publicly visible, as it displays the target database user’s password in the HTML.
