New Extension: MX Magic Replacer (EE2) 2.0.2 beta

Magic Replacer gives you the option to make replacing in the entry / forum /comment posts during the publishing new one or update. Replacing makes by rules which you can setup in Extension settings page. If you have an idea how I can make this add-on more useful for you – send me PM, or contact with me by email.

I hope that interface is intuitive enough, so I will hold documentations before new add-on’s site lunch.

And remember – if you have any issue or bugs, feel free to send me a note and I will help you ASAP.

*multiselect for “where” will be added in next version.

LG Social Bookmarks not working in MSM sites.

This question may be related to a resolved thread.

Note - I realize this should be in extensions, but it put it in this category when I created it as related to the previous thread. Apologies.

It works on the main site, but on the sub site I get the following error:

Notice: Undefined index: 5 in /path/system/extensions/ext.lg_social_bookmarks_ext.php  on line 142 

The extension is in version 2.0.2, and the EE install is 1.6.9, current build.

On some pages the error only shows up once, but on others it shows up repeatedly.

Here are some examples (All the errors are buried in the black bar at the top of the screen, pushing down the content):

Fieldstypes in Extensions

Hello,

I’m not sure whether this post is appropriate for the tech support forum. It does involve the general organization of the EE1 extensions.

I am working on a site with EE core 1.6.9 Build: 20100430.

I am attempting to install a couple of third-party extensions (Playa and Structure), and each require that files be stored in the extensions/fieldtypes directory.

None of the versions of EE 1x that I have worked with (both core and full) have a fieldtypes subdirectory within extensions. Although the instructions are supposed to pertain to EE1x, is it possible that this is a feature of EE2x?

New extension: EE 2.0 LDAP

I have been working on a 2.0-compatible version of the ee-ldap-extension hosted at google code. I posted my changes there but haven’t heard back from the developers. I could really use some feedback on the approach as I haven’t worked on EE before. Does this look like a good start?

Add a user to the “non-ldap users” in settings before enabling this extension, so you can still log in to the CP if there is an issue with the implementation or with your LDAP settings.

New extension: tailored titles with JMS Title Tailor

I’m pleased to present JMS Title Tailor.

This extension allows you to re-label the default Title and URL Title fields on a per-weblog basis so that they make more sense in whatever context you’re using them.

(The change is made purely on your publish forms - you must still use {title} and {url_title} in your templates).

New extension: Last Editor

Hi,

I was recently surprised to find that EE doesn’t have a weblog:entries variable for ‘last edited by x’ so I built Last Editor. This extension adds a {last_editor} tag to your weblog:entries loop. It’s pretty simple, no settings or documentation needed. Just enable it and then use {last_editor} in the same way you might already use {author} or {screen_name}.

Template IDE - Introducing Bespinee ALPHA!

Introducing Bespinee, the template code editor.
This new extension is the beginning of a fully functional Expression Engine Template IDE that is 100% web based. Built on the bespin embedded API.

Place the bespinee folder into system/expressionengine/third_party

Please note this is a EE2 only extension.

HOW TO USE:
Simply upload as above and enable the extension, then visit a template edit screen. Click into the template text area and a Bespin icon will appear on the right side of the textarea. Just click the icon and WOWSERS, beautiful code.

Not Understanding How Low Seg2Cat Works

Friends:

I’m having a really difficult time understanding how the Low Seg2Cat extension is supposed to work, am I’m hoping someone can help me.

I’m trying to use a url like this:

http://www.anydomain.com/index.php/weblog/news/category1/

so that it shows all of the entries in category1 (the category name).

Here is the code I’m using in the “news” template to show the entries:

{exp:weblog:entries weblog="news" category="{segment_3_category_name}" sort="desc" limit="10"}
{title}<br />
{body}
{/exp:weblog:entries} 

But that results in no entries being listed at all.

I’m sure I’m doing something really dumb, but I can’t figure out what it might be.

Can someone help?

Where can I find real documentation on extension development and where I can apply it?

Field Frame errors on upgrading to 1.4.2

I am using field frame 1.0 and EE 1.6.7. I was having trouble with conditions so I tried to update to FF 1.4.2, but when I do it didn’t fix my problem, it caused more. So I tried to go back to FF 1.0 and I get the following error on EVERY page on my site!!!! HELP

MySQL ERROR:

Error Number: 1054

Description: Unknown column ‘site_id’ in ‘where clause’

Query: SELECT * FROM exp_ff_fieldtypes WHERE site_id = “1” AND enabled = “y”

and when I go back to 1.4.2 I get these errors:
